Korean Lee Shin Young is the new World Champion at the expenses of Japanese Yuko Nishimoto who got the silver medal. Mirjam Pruim (The Netherlands) and Kim Haeun (Korea) take home a bronze medal. Therese Klompenhouwer, five times world champion, did not shine as we are used to see and found a fierce and skilled opponent. She was eliminated in the quarter finals by the new World Champion.
