Le comité de la CEB a pris acte de la décision de suspension par l’UMB des joueurs ayant participé au Tournoi PBA du mois de juin 2019 et adhère à cette décision.
En plus des conséquences sur les championnats continentaux, ces sanctions auront aussi des conséquences sur les compétitions organisées exclusivement par la CEB (Coupes d’Europe notamment).
Conformément à ses statuts la CEB doit donc saisir sa commission disciplinaire. Cette commission n’est pas une commission permanente et doit être constituée selon les règles statutaires topiques. Elle analysera en toute indépendance la nécessité d’ouvrir une procédure disciplinaire et les parties concernées auront alors le droit de faire valoir leurs arguments. La Commission disciplinaire sera désignée ces prochains jours et se réunira sous peu.

Statement
The CEB Board has taken note of the decision of the UMB to suspend the players who participated in the PBA Tournament in June 2019 and supports this decision.
In addition to the consequences on Continental championships, these sanctions will also have consequences on competitions managed exclusively by CEB (Coupes d’Europe in particular).
In accordance with its statutes, CEB must therefore refer the matter to its Disciplinary Commission. This commission is not a permanent committee and will therefore have to be set up according to the topical statutory rules. It will independently analyse the need to initiate disciplinary proceedings and the parties concerned will then have the right to make their arguments. The Disciplinary Commission will be appointed in the coming days and will meet shortly.
