
MARCOS MORALES WINS THE FIRST LONGONI NEXTGEN GP 2025
In the morning of this final day the two semifinals were played. The first one finished on the razor edge with Tangui Duriez (France) taking the last point to win on Dutch Joris van't Zelfden (35-34 in 39/38 innings).
The second semifinals was a Spanish clash. Marcos Morales outplayed his countryman Daniel Sainz-Pardo 35-26 in 35/34 innings.
Later the final was played. Morales led the match from the start and Duriez couldn't keep up. The final score was 35-19 in 36 innings.
Marcos Morales took home the first place. Runner up is Tangui Duriez. Thirds: Joris van't Zelfden (Netherlands) and Daniel Sainz-Pardo (Spain)

THE SEMIFINALS OF THE LONGONI GP ARE DECIDED IN ZOERSEL
Today the qualifications reached the end thus deciding the quarters finals played at the end of the day.
The group winners were Luca Philipoom (0,694, group A); Selahattin Ozkul (0,943, group B); Amir Ibraimov (0,934, group C); Tangui Duriez (0,833, group D); Joris Zelfden (1,041, group E). The three best seconds were also qualified to last 8: Marcos Morales (1,025), Daniel Sainz-Pardo (0,960) and Toon Bollansee (0,858).
In the quarters final we could witness some good performances and interesting matches: Zelfden won Bollansee 35-12 in 20 innings; Duriez won Philipoom 35-21 in 32; Morales defeated Ibraimov by 35-25 in 23 and Sainz-Pardo overcome Ozkul 35-23 in 53.
In the first semifinal the two Spaniards Morales and Sainz-Pardo will face each other, tomorrow at 12:00. Earlier at 10:00 we will be able to watch the first semifinal: the Dutch Zelfden against Frenchman Duriez.

FIRST DAY IS OVER AT THE LONGONI GP IN ZOERSEL
After a full day of qualifications in the BC De Ploeg the ranking begins to be shaped.
Marcos Morales (ES) from group C is the best so far: 2 wins and 1,063. Runner up is Joris Zelfden, group E (NL), 2 wins, 1,041. Selahattin Ozkul (TR), group B follows in third position, 2 wins, 0,847. Fourth is Daniel Sainz-Pardo (ES), group D, 2 wins, 0,833. Fifth is Luca Philipoom (NL), group A, 2 wins, 0,581. Best runners up so far are Toon Bollansee (BE) 0,847, Bruno Martinez (ES) 0,741 and Santos Goncalo (PT) 0,725.
Last qualification rounds of tomorrow morning will decide the best 8 qualified to quarters final. Everything is still at stake.
Best match by Zelfden (1,315) and best run (7) by Morales.

LONGONI NEXTGEN CIRCUIT KICKS OFF IN BELGIUM
The Longoni NextGen circuit dedicated to the young 3-cushion talents is about to start the 2025 edition.
The first stop will be the first Grand Prix U21, this Friday in the Biljartcentrum De Ploeg, in Halle Zoersel (Belgium), under the auspices of the Fédération Royale Belge de Billard. Like the previous successful editions two more events will complete the 2025 circuit: the European Championship 3-Cushion U21 in Spain, included in the EUROYOUTH 2025, and the second Grand Prix in Blois (France) in August 2025. The best young European 3-cushion talents will compete for the primacy of the Longoni Ranking where the points gained in the three event will be counted. The best 3 at the end of the sport season will be awarded with a wild card for the 3-cushion individual championships in 2025-26.
The field is fully booked in the BC De Ploeg: 24 athletes registered, representing 10 CEB federations. Tomorrow evening they will gather in the club for the usual tables test. Then on Friday morning the qualification groups will start: 5 groups of 5 and 1 group of 4. On Saturday the qualification groups will be completed to decide the 8 finalists that will proceed to the quarters late in the day. Semifinals and final are scheduled for Sunday.
