The Danish Billard Federation and the Billard Club KBK / BNV organised the tournament In the Grondal Multicenter in Copenhagen and the spectators were able to enjoy the splendid organisation.
9 young players from 7 nations gave themselves appointment from 20th to 22th May in Copenhagen, Denmark. Unfortunately one player from the Netherlands declared not to take part on this championships, so there were just 9 players present at the tournament.
All players showed great billiard skills. They were playing on a very high level and more than one game was finished in the first inning or just a few innings more.
The semi-finals were decided in one, respectively in 2 innings and it was Sam van Etten and Ondrej Hosak to be qualified for the final.
This final can be regarded as a reference to the best Hitchcock films. It was a crime!
Ondrej Hosak started, and he finished his 300 points in the first inning. So, Sam van Etten had an enormous pressure, but he also realized 300 points in one inning. At the first extension session, Hosek missed the starting ball ... and van Etten also. It was just after the third extension, that Ondrej Hosek was successful against Sam van Etten and so he is a deserved European Champion U-21 in free game this year.
