Dick Jaspers takes the gold in the Porto World Cup gaining back the first place both in the UMB World Players Ranking and in the UMB Event Ranking; he also jumps on top of the World Cup Ranking 2024 equalizing the points with Tran Q.C.
Jaspers won the final against M.W.Cho and the semifinal against Frederic Caudron. Bronze medals for Tayfun Tasdemir and Frederic Caudron who is back on a World Cup podium.
The Portuguese city is once again the host of a top international billiard competition. Just after the Coupe d'Europe 3-Cushion, now it's the turn of the Porto World Cup 2024 starting today in the FC Porto facility "DRAGÃO ARENA".
For the CEB federations Dick Jaspers, Torbjorn Blomdahl, Eddy Merckx, Marco Zanetti, Tayfun Tasdemir and Martin Horn are the seeded players in the last 32. Wild cards have been awarded to Rui Manuel Costa and Jose Miguel Soares. The final is scheduled on July 13th.
