PREDATOR GP 3-CUSHION LADIES: KARINA JETTEN (NL) ON THE TOP

Today it was Karina's day in Herstal. In the second semifinal she had to recover a very hard match against the Danish Sørensen; Jetten needed a strong comeback and a victory on the finish line (30-29). Earlier in the first semifinal Klompenhouwer had less problems to win against Turkish Degener (30-15).

The final was an all-Dutch affair but it was not going as you could have expected. In the middle of the match Karina took the lead and Therese was not ready to react. Jetten played well, used a run of 7 and reached a 10 points advantage that was too much of a climb even for the Queen. The final score of 30-24 crowned Karina Jetten winner of this Predator Grand Prix 3-Cushion Ladies. Klompenhouwer is the runner up. Bronze for Sørensen (DK) and Degener (TR).

This is the second Predator 3-Cushion Grand Prix of this season and the third counted in the final CEB Ladies 3C ranking 2023-2024. This final version of the ranking 2023-2024 and the ranking points that will be earned this week-end are really important for the careers of our athletes for two main reasons: first, the two top standings will receive a wild card for the next European Championship Individual;  second, this ranking will be used for the selection of the second CEB women 3-cushion representative to The World Games that will take place in China in August 2025. Therese Klompenhouwer, as reigning CEB champion, has already secured herself the first spot for TWG while the second spot will be assigned to the best standing in the CEB ranking, as it will result after this GP.

24 of the best athletes from 9 CEB National Federations will attend the tournament in the BC Herstal, divided in 6 qualification groups of 4. The group winners and 2 best seconds will advance in the quarters final. The semifinals and the final are scheduled on Sunday September 1st.
