DUDELANGE - The young German player Simon Blondeel defended his European title from 2015 in free game for players under 17. The EC was played with 8 participants in round robin. After he and the Belgian Bryan Eelen both had won six matches they met in the last game. Simon defeated Bryan Eelen 200-61 in 2 innings and remained unbeaten with 14 matchpoints. Bryan Eelen finished second in the final ranking. The Bronze medals went to Yohann Alderbonn from France and the Dutchman Leon Dudink.
