The new World Cup season of 2025 kicked off in Bogotà, Colombia, with the first of the seven events in the UMB calendar. Four continents are interested and will host a stop of the great circus of 3-Cushion: Colombia, Vietnam, Turkiye, Portugal, Belgium, South Korea, Egypt.
Right now the Bogotà world cup reached the final KO rounds where the last 16 will face each other today, in a fight to advance to the next round.
Semifinals and finals will be on the scene tomorrow.
Not one representative from the American continent survived so far. The field of the 16 is dominated by Europe (9) and Asia (6) plus 1 Egyptian. The most represented country is Vietnam with 4 players, followed by Turkiye and Belgium with 3, South Korea 2, then Egypt, France, Netherlands and Sweden with 1. It is interesting to note that 6 out of the 8 matches of the last 16 will feature an European facing an Asian.
