8th SWISS OPEN 5 PINS: ITALIANS AND GERMANS ON THE PODIUM

UPDATE:

The Italians and the Germans took all the podium in Zofingen.

The event successfully reached its finish line yesterday night with an exciting final match won by the Italian Paolo Infortuna at the last points. Paolo played an excellent billiard throughout all the tournament.

The runner up was Max Gabel (Germany), he also showed an excellent technical level. In the semifinal Max eliminated Vincenzo Consagno (Italy) who was the winner of the previous edition.  Also on the podium the German Christopher Schock, defeated by Infortuna in the semifinal.

 

The BC Lion Club is looking forward for the next edition of this beautiful event.

THE 8TH SWISS OPEN 5 PINS IS NOW A CEB TOURNAMENT

The well known yearly event in Switzerland reached this year the 8th edition and turns to be a CEB 5 pins open tournament.

The BC Lion King in Zofingen is the organizer under the auspices of the Swiss Federation and the CEB. Everything is ready in Zofingen for this competition that is going to become a classic yearly meeting for the best European 5-Pins players.

It's a big success in terms of participation: almost 70 athletes from 9 nations are expected to take part to this event. The technical level promises to be high; many of the best players from CEB federations will join, included some top Italian player and 3 women.

Friday 17th the qualification stage will start in the morning with the groups of 4 playing round-robin with matches to 100 points. The final KO stage will be played on Sunday with matches to 120 points. The matches will be played on Simonis cloths with Aramith billiard balls.
