THE EXAMINATION DAY.
Our thanks to the Hellenic Federation of Precision Sports for the magnificent preparation and coordination carried out for the 1st CEB-Referees Certification held on October 4th and 5th, which allowed us to hold the training camp on the first day and the CEB-Referee Certification exams on the second, both in the magnificent facilities of the Trisponto Billiard Club of Athens, closed both days for all club members and visitors so that the 8 participants and the instructor could be in the best possible conditions.
Many thanks to the national federation officials who made it possible, especially Mr George Lambrakis, HFPS President, Mr Argyris Logothetis, HFPS Secretary General and Mr Nick Tremoulis, HFPS Coordinator. Also, to Mr Ioannis Papadakis from Trisponto Billiard Club and to the volunteers of the club who collaborated and helped in the realization of the activities. Many thanks to all of them.
We would also like to congratulate and thank the 8 participants for their interest in learning over the two days and their willingness to ask questions.
In a few weeks, participants and their respective national federations will be informed of the results obtained. We hope that both the Greek Federation and the Swedish Federation will have their first provisional CEB referees in 3-Cushion.
We consider that this first experience has been very positive, and we will try to repeat it soon in another country and with candidates from other national federations.
THE CEB ANNOUNCES THE FIRST CEB-REFEREE CERTIFICATION
During the 4th and 5th of October the CEB, in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Precision Sports, will organize the 1st CEB-Referee Certification at the Trisponto Billiard Club in Athens. This certification course is reserved to the National Federations that do not yet have an international refereeing structure. The National Federations of Greece and Sweden will attend respectively with 5 and 2 candidates.
This activity responds to one of the objectives of the CEB Board, which is to help the affiliated National Federations that do not have international CEB referees to be able to have their first CEB certified provisional referees.
On Friday 4th the 3-Cushion training camp will take place, with theory in the morning and practice in the afternoon.
On Saturday 5th the theory exam will take place in the morning and the practice exam in the afternoon.
The candidates who will pass the exams will be proposed to the CEB Board as provisional 3-Cushion CEB referees. Their final appointment as CEB referees will then be proposed at the next CEB General Assembly in May 2025.
