This weekend the CEB successfully organized a training camp in Oslo, Norway, thanks to the collaboration with the Norwegian Billiards Federation.
The aim was to improve the general 3-cushion technical level and to introduce the 5-Pins game in the Nordic country.
Martin Spoormans was the choosen coach who dedicated his wide expertise to the 14 participating players on a three days meeting in the Oslo Snooker & Carambole club.
The camp was a success; the participants were enthusiastic and happy to join. Main focus was on 3-cushion and basic concepts of 5-Pins were also introduced.
Martin shared his knowledge on both disciplines, adapting the coaching to each player. He picked off mistakes and bad habits, he showed new shots and entertained the audience with good stories about his long career.
JO BJØRNSTAD (Carom Responsible, Norwegian Billiards Federation): "We had a very good training session with Martin this weekend! We can warmly recommend Martin to others who want to learn more about carom. This was perfect to us, and we want to thank Martin, CEB and everyone who made it possible."
DIANE WILD (CEB President): "This event is a concrete example of the CEB’s ambition to develop our sport throughout Europe, in agreement and following regular direct contacts with the national federations."
