THE SEMIFINALISTS TEAMS ARE DECIDED IN AARHUS
The qualification groups of the European Championship 3-Cushion Ladies National Teams determined today the four teams that will face each other in tomorrow's semifinals.
The Dutch team (Klompehouwer - Jetten) and defending champion clearly won the group A.
In group B the Turkish team (Karakasli - Degener) and Denmark 2 team (Mortensen - Jensen) draw their match and both won against Austria. With 3 points each it was Turkiye to qualify thanks to a better average.
The home team of Denmark 1 (Sorensen - Petersen) won the group C with two victories as well as Belgium who did the same in group D.
Netherlands duo lead the provisional ranking according to match points, individual game points and average, followed by Denmark 1, Belgium and Turkiye.
Semifinals are therefore set and ready for tomorrow morning:
At 10:00: Netherlands vs Turkiye
At 12:30: Denmark 1 vs Belgium

THE SHOW CONTINUES TOMORROW IN AARHUS WITH THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS LADIES
Tomorrow the show in Aarhus will continue with two more European Championships.
We will begin with the National Teams championship on April 1st and 2nd.
12 teams from 10 CEB National Federations will join, divided in 4 groups of 3. The semifinals and the final are planned on the second day.
The Dutch team (Therese Klompenhouwer and Karina Jetten) is the defending champion. This is the third edition of this championship recently introduced by the CEB; the same Dutch team won both previous edition. Will they catch the third one ?
Immediately after, from 3rd to 5th of April, the same Ladies will compete on their own in the Individual Championship. Therese Klompenhouwer is the defending champion in this tournament too. She has to defend an impressive streak of 11 gold medals since the begininng of this championship back in 2005. She will hunt for the 12th title against contenders who are getting more and more experienced; among them there is the reigning World Champion Charlotte Sorensen who plays at home and who beat Klompenhouwer in the last World Championship final, not to mention her own team colleague Karina Jetten who won the Dutch National title. Surprises could also arrive from the other players from the top of the CEB 3-Cushion Ladies ranking: Guzin Mujde Karakasli and Gulsen Degener from Turkiye, Jaimie Buelens (Belgium), Estela Cardoso (Spain), Steffi Tram (Germany). A total of 24 players will attend, divided into 8 group of 3. First two from each group will advance to last 16.
All games are played on Simonis cloths with Aramith billiard balls.
