The centre of the 3-Cushion world this week is going to be in Heerhugowaard in The Netherlands where the 10th World Championship 3-Cushion Ladies and the 13th World Championship 3-Cushion Juniors (U22) will take place one after the other. KNBB is in charge of the organization under the auspices of UMB.
The first to go on the scene from tomorrow 20th is the Ladies tournament. Therese Klompenhouwer is the defending Champion and favorite for this event. She will try to win her fifth world title. The final is scheduled on Thursday 22nd.
The Juniors event will be on stage from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th. There is not a defending Champion and it's not easy to guess the winner. The talented youngsters from Turkey and from the other European countries will face a great challenge from their Asian opponents.
The game format is the same for both events. 24 players divided in 8 groups of 3. Best 2 of each group will advance to the last 16 KO round.
