SEYMEN OZBAS TAKES THE WORLD JUNIORS TITLE A golden season for the young Turkish Talent. After the European title Seymen Ozbas clinched the World gold too. He performed a flawless tournament, he scored the best avg of the tournament (1,507) and he finally defeated the silver medalist Jo Yeongyun in the final match. CHARLOTTE SØRENSEN IS THE NEW 3-CUSHION WORLD CHAMPION LADIES Last year in Ankara three Asians were on the podium and only one European got the bronze. Now Europe took its revenge and the outcome is reversed. The new World Champion 3-Cushion Ladies was crowned today after an exciting quality match. In Blois, France, the 15th World Championship 3-cushion Juniors and the 12th World Championship 3-Cushion Ladies are on their starting blocks. PREDATOR GP 3-CUSHION LADIES: KARINA JETTEN (NL) ON THE TOP Today it was Karina's day in Herstal. In the second semifinal she had to recover a very hard match against the Danish Sørensen; Jetten needed a strong comeback and a victory on the finish line (30-29). A World 3-Cushion Survival event took place in Seoul, South Korea. Nikos Polychronopoulos was the winner of the last one in 2023. Cho Myung Woo wins, Eddy Merckx is the runner up, Tayfun Tasdemir and Glenn Hofman share the third place. Therese Klompenhouwer got the third place in the Ladies event won by Jeong Hyun Park. This weekend, the Wedel Billiard Club in Germany is once again the centre of attention for women billiards as they are organising a CEB 3-cushion training camp for ladies, by this point a yearly tradition. UPDATE: July, Saturday 13th Dick Jaspers takes the gold in the Porto World Cup gaining back the first place both in the UMB World Players Ranking and in the UMB Event Ranking; he also jumps on top of the World Cup Ranking 2024 equalizing the points with Tran Q.C.
